We came to this place because we found out that they had the best burger in LA. Not only do they have the best burger, but they also have a wonderful wine list and a great menu. We ordered the grilled octopus which was amazing. We had the burger and it was phenomenal. I had the risotto. It was refreshing and not too heavy. We had an Amarone wine at 50% off since we came on a Monday night. The only reason why I’m giving it four stars is because the price on the menu for the Amerone looks like $100 but it’s actually $190. It’s the most expensive wine they have on the menu. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake. This place has wonderful wine, food and service. I highly recommend it.

I just absolutely adore this place. there is a very personable feel to the style of service. I love the food and the wine but seriously it’s the staff that makes this place one of my favorites. All of the wines were described to me in a way that actually made sense … The server said that one of the wines was fruit driven, flirty and voluptuous! I just couldn’t get enough of these wine descriptions… I come back just so that my friends can hear her talk about wine. It’s absolutely hilarious! The food is also really good and not pretentious at all. I would recommend making reservation especially during prime time and it can get pretty loud inside! Heads up!

My first time in LA and Melanie Wine Bar did not disappoint! The food was delicious, the wines were phenomenal and the vibe was just right. Our flight was delayed, and the team at Melanie worked with us on our reservation. 10/10, it will now be a staple in my visits back to LA.

they have an excellent selection of wine here & for a bar, their food dishes were impressive. the tater tots were crisp, the crab fettuccine was fresh, and the bread that came with the burrata was perfectly toasted. i was pleasantly surprised & would love to come back again!

Went to Melanie for a drink and app. The decor is adorable. The staff is very knowledgeable about their wines. We had a charcuterie board- was delicious. Looking forward to having actual dinner. Looks like they have Happy Hour from 4-5.

My favorite combination is wine and lava cake. Unfortunately they were out of lava cake!! Which says a lot cuz it’s probably sooo yummy. Got their crème brûlée instead and that was delicious. I forgot which wine I had, some red wine. The waitress was also super friendly and nice. We sat outside and it was easy to talk to each other, calm with a warm breeze.

We absolutely love the wine classes on the weekends. We have been to several and each time has been so informative and lovely. Steve, the Som is incredible - he has such a vast knowledge that he loves to share. He does it without any ego or snobbery. We have been educated about wine in a variety of regions. The entire team is wonderful and accommodating.

I was visiting from out of town for a business conference and needed a quality dining option with great ambiance — this restaurant exceeded all expectations. On my first night, Derek, the general manager, went above and beyond to squeeze us in on a fully booked evening. His warm welcome, attention to detail, and top-tier hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Our server Anastasia and her team curated an incredible four-course menu, guiding us through each dish with knowledge and care. The food was outstanding and the service flawless. The experience was so memorable that we returned the next evening with a business partner. Once again, Derek and his team graciously found us a table despite the restaurant being fully booked. This time, they curated a wine tasting experience for us, including their sommelier providing a unique selection of wines that elevated the meal even further. Both evenings were nothing short of spectacular. The combination of exceptional service, thoughtful food, and welcoming atmosphere makes this one of the best dining experiences I’ve had anywhere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area — whether for business or pleasure, you will leave impressed and wanting to return.
